The Reefscape Room on the REEF Campus offers a multi-use space in the heart of Key Largo. The floor-to-ceiling mural provides a one-of-a-kind "underwater" experience without having to get on a boat. The mural combines many different marine ecosystems found in the Florida Keys, offering an up close and personal point of view. A state-of-the art A/V system can support a wide variety of programming. And the adjacent Native Plants Trail on the REEF Campus provides a peaceful place to enjoy lunch or happy hour.
REEF recognizes that meeting space in the Florida Keys is limited, and is pleased to offer the use of the Reefscape Room when available. The preference is for environmental and educational programs, although other opportunities will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Therefore, we have provided both Non-profit and Public use rates. Public use room rental rates apply to private parties, wedding receptions, and business meetings.
A 25% reservation deposit is due at time of booking and a $200 Security Deposit is held until after the event. Please see below for additional fees for equipment use. All rentals are subject to 7.5% state/county sales tax according to Dept. of Revenue tax guidelines. Florida Department of Revenue Certificate of exempt status must be provided if claiming tax exempt status.

Public Rental Rates
$50.00 per hour - Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm
$70.00 per hour - Saturday-Sunday between 8am-5pm
$60.00 per hour - Monday-Thursday between 5pm-10pm
$100.00 per hour - Friday-Sunday between 5pm-10pm
Minimum charge: $50 on weekdays, $250 on weekends
Non-profit and Educational Rates
Non-profit groups and educational entities during regular business hours from 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday receive a fifty percent discount. Please provide REEF with a copy of your IRS designation to receive your discount. Minimum charges apply as above.
Guidelines
Rental of the Reefscape Room is not intended to imply endorsement or sponsorship by REEF for any event or organization. In order to identify REEF's own events and activities clearly for the general public, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines related to the promotion of your REEF-based event.
Promotional material should reflect your own organization and the nature of your particular event, with REEF identified as only the site and location.
1. Image and Language
Do not use the logo or images (photographic or drawn) of REEF in any material for your event. Do not use language that implies endorsement or sponsorship of your event by REEF. For example, you may state that your event "is being held at REEF," but DO NOT state that your event is "a REEF event."
2. Event Title
Do not include the name of REEF in the title of your event as this implies endorsement or sponsorship by the site facility. For example, do not name your event "An Evening at REEF." The title of your event should help your members, the public, and the media to identify and to raise awareness of your organization, for example, "Merit Center Annual Meeting."
Please indicate clearly a contact person at your own organization that can provide additional information to the public about your event.
Important Information
- Maximum occupancy for the Reefscape Room is 30
- REEF provides and sets up the tables and chairs for your event excluding wedding ceremonies
- A REEF staff person is scheduled to be on-site during all evening events
- Table cloths and dishes are not available through REEF
- All weekend evening events must conclude and be cleaned up no later than 11 pm
- 10% discount on multi-day events
- Food and beverages are allowed in the Reefscape Room. We also offer a separate picnic area outdoors for your use during daytime events
- The use of a licensed caterer with liquor liability insurance will be required to serve alcohol
- The facility is wheelchair accessible and there is a restroom inside the building
